Sexy Stud.

NEW GAMES NEW GAMES NEW GAMES!!

As if the title wasn't obvious enough,

I GOT NEW NINTENDO DS GAMES!!!

Let my boy start this post on rather pimpin' note.

Yeah, baby. Keep them pimp hands steady.

Onward!

The Legend of Freaking Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

LINK LOOK SO CUTE HERE, I CAN'T EVEN

You have to use the stylus most of the time, and I approve of that, since I have a very nice Mario & Luigi 3: Bowser's Inside Story stylus which I got for only $2. OH and it as Fawful on it :)

I like to play this with headphones, because the sounds are reminiscent of the older, Gameboy versions. When you solve a puzzle at one of the boss stages, even the little tune that plays is similiar to the 8-bit one you get on the Gameboy.

I've laughed out loud during gameplay. Some parts are pure comic.

I love cutesy!Link so much I can't stop smiling

Super Princess Peach!!!

It's time for the damsel in distress to save her knight in overalls! (And his brother, and the Toads.) Peach utilizes a talking umbrella, Perry, and four emotions (Gloom, Rage, Calm and Joy) which will give her special powers accordingly -- burn through things when she's angry, make plants grow with her tears, etc.

I have yet to start playing this properly, since I was so rudely interrupted by real life. Oh, well.

Although I'm more of a Daisy/Rosalina person, I can't help but agree that Peach is just too adorable. Plus, I love the Goombas. Tee hee.

Lifesigns: Surgical Unit

Okay, I'll admit it. I got this just because it's, well... If you know me and what I like, you'll guess the reason why.

There's a disclaimer once you start the game which states that under no circumstances are you to carry out the surgeries and procedures featured in the game. Pfft, of course I won't -- I'm a geek, not Dr. McCoy!

This game has been compared to Trauma Center: Under the Knife. It has also been criticized for having too much dialogue and not enough game content. I haven't played this yet, so I can't give you my two cents.

I resent the fact that it's anime. Why can't it be comic book-style :(

OFF TO PLAY MORE ZELDA FFFYEAH

I LOVE KEVIN LEVIN

Thursday, October 22, 2009

Choose a theme (band, tv show, anything) and use titles of the songs/episodes to answer the following questions. Use each title once.

I choose YOU, ABRA LOL okay hmm, a band would be easier, so I choose Cobra Starship, for the lulz.

Are you a male or female?: "Angie"
Describe yourself: "Being From Jersey Means Never Having To Say You're Sorry"
How do you feel: "Hot Mess"
Describe where you currently live: "Living in the Sky with Diamonds" lolol
If you could go anywhere where would you go?: "The Church of Hot Addiction"
Your favorite form of transportation: "Pleasure Ryland" ohh yeahhhh
Your best friend is: "Hollaback Boy"
What’s the weather like: "Wet Hot American Summer" hahaha so apt
Favorite time of day: "Damn You Look Good And I'm Drunk (Scandalous)" Like someone once said, 'It's always happy hour somewhere.'
If your life was a TV show, it would be called: "You're Not in On the Joke"
What is life to you: "The World Has its Shine (But I Would Drop it on a Dime)"
Your fear: "The City is at War"
What is the best advice you have to give: Oh, man, this is a tough one. I'll go with "Keep It Simple".
Thought for the Day: "It's Warmer in the Basement" ;)
How I would like to die: "Move Like You Gonna Die" But it doesn't make sense, though
My soul’s present condition: "Kiss My Sass"
My motto: "The World Will Never Do"

:)

Wednesday, October 21, 2009

Sense. You make none.

I also do not know what you're talking about.

Chocolates.

"Sucrose," he read. "Can you have one?"

"The sucrose would produce a mild euphoric effect, and my judgment would be impaired. Afterward, I would experience a variety of mild pathologies as my body attempted to rid itself of the toxin."

"That's the most depressing thing I've ever heard."

Photobucket

"... Every time I see that thing I'm going to think of you." he slowly rolled over, to settle himself in for sleep. "In fact, I might need to keep it out of sight, or else I'll end up having a coronary."

"I will not allow that to happen. You heart is not yours to damage. It belongs to me."

I love getting checked up.

And there's Dr Sam Beckett, but I'll save that for myself ;)

Captain's log, stardate 0803.09

Bought an $18 canvas for art. Downloaded a mix of beatiful songs and another album called 'Bedroom Madness'. Mom made me that nice herbal drink/jelly thing which is said to ~improve my skin. Don't know how that would work, since I only drink it once a week.

Fini helped me call up Absolute Comics and ask about their Star Trek items. A bobble head is $24, but I'm not going to spend on that (good God, who would??).

My friends and I used up my red embossing tape. Bringing my bigger, more impressive tapewriter to school tomorrow.

That new art teacher finally asked the question all teachers have asked before : "Which country are you from?" Hehehe. Maybe I should lie about where I'm from, just to see their reactions.

OH SNAP CAPTAIN KIRK SAW ME TYPING ALL THIS CRAP OUT WATCH OUT HE'S GONNA-

I listen to the weirdest songs

Then again, I'm a pretty weird person.

Kudos to Ella, who wrote me a song. Three guesses on what it's about, and the first two don't count.

I bought a new, smaller tape writer!! Now, all my labelling needs are fufilled. Plus, it's purple. Yay purple. I prefer the use of my old, larger one, but the small tape writer screams "Look at me, I label things on the go!"

I have now labelled most of my books. I shall think of other things that will benefit from a good, sticky label that reads 'Zanne S.'

The tape embosses letters which are all capitalized. I typed out 'CPT. JAMES T. KIRK' and it looks really, really impressive. All official-looking and whatnot.

Request permission to land

Leonard Nimoy is such a darling. I've been listening to him a lot now, even though his music is all bluegrassy and country. At least he came up with illogical songs like 'Contact' and 'Spock Thoughts', which is more like advice from the pointy-eared, green-blooded bastard himself.

A theory

It seems that a rite of passage for fledgling AA models is to get in bed with a photographer. I do not mean that they involve in coitus, but they just take a lot of pictures in bed.

That is not something I am new to.

For those of you who don't know, 'frak' is the F-word cleaned up for TV. It originates from Battlestar Galactica.

Hello boys. Let's tear us apart and vote on our hotness. Or maybe our bodies! We're the Barbie dolls you can laugh and mock at.

THIS JUST IN!!!!! "ANGELS AND DEMONS" NOT ABOUT THE ILLUMINATI!!!!! THEY'RE ACTUALLY US GIRLS!!!!!

I wonder what I saw in those immature idiots. Maybe the sad futures they will have as drunks and burn-outs.

Why charm girls with your skills when you can win them over with rudeness and lack of respect? I'm sure all girls love 'bad boys'. Well, the only 'bad' boy is MJ, and look where it got him.

If you want to make a change, start with that HAM in the mirror.

100th post!

I don't know what to say.

Well, I got myself a 4GB USB flash drive, I watched Transformers 2 for the second time (YAY JOHN TURTURRO), I copied History notes for 45 minutes straight (my wrist fell off - had to sew it back on) and Zachary peed his pants today. Legit.

How was your weekend?

My Nintendo DS

Alright. Here's where I talk about the games I play frequently on my black DS lite.

1. MarioKart

I play MarioKart whenever I'm in want of some quick and dirty gaming action. Quick because I always play 150cc/150cc mirror, and it's dirty because I play as Bowser most of the time, and I can knock other drivers off the tracks. Especially on the Rainbow Road; I love pushing the lightweights around. So if you have MarioKart and you want some friendly competition, I'm free!

2. Nintendogs

My beagle's name is Bones. 'Roosevelt' was too long, and I don't want to give him a human name. So I decided on Bones -- in memory of DeForest Kelley, and it does have a doggy connotation to it. I'm currently at the 'Amateur Trainer' level, and I'm going to surpass that soon. I haven't tried playing Bark Mode, but I have weird stuff in possession, so you can count on me bringing you random gifts if we do play.

3. New Super Mario Brothers

I've actually played until the eighth world, but my brother erased my saved file. I'm stuck in the early stages. Grr. And I'm partial to Luigi :)

4. Avatar: Into the Inferno

This game is based on season three/Book Three: Fire. It features chibi versions of the characters. You control two characters at the same time, and if you play with another person, you can choose who to play! I usually play with my brother, and he needs help sometimes. I've completed the game two/three times already.

Yeah that's probably it. I do have other games, though. For one peroid of time, I was quite into Harvest Moon. I played the guy version.

Thursday, July 2, 2009

This habit of mine.

I tend to switch languages easily. For example, I'm talking to the cashier in English (my usual mildly accented English) and she'll reply in Chinese, then I'll also reciprocate in that language that I'm not fond of.

Meh. I should stop doing that.

Tuesday, June 30, 2009

School? What is this school of which you speak?

I don't know what to say. I have absolutely nothing to write about. Except that I really enjoy watching the Big Bang Theory. Raj now holds a place in my cavernous heart.

It's been nice talking to people on MSN. I usually only talk to Mabel, and now I'm talking to more people. I bet I'm annoying.

Oh, and Mitchell sat beside me during History lessons. I hope I didn't annoy him to the point of killing me. Hahahaha.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Good morning. I trust that you had a wonderful night's sleep. (Of course, Dr McCoy, I didn't expect you to sleep at all.)

I plan to cut my hair soon. I will do so because those with short hair in my class will probably have grown their hair out by now, even if by a fractional length.

This is what made me realize I'd look nice with short hair :

No pictures yet. I'm lazy, deal with it.

Also, I watched Wrath of Khan.

KHAAAAAAN!!!

Monday, June 8, 2009

I lied

There will be no pictures. Not today, that is.

I woke up after 10 today. Not sure what time exactly. But, I spent the afternoon watching most of The Big Bang Theory.

I ALSO FINISHED AVATAR. Boy, the ending was fantastic! My favorite breakdown was Azula's. Blue fire, lightning, then being frozen and chained... Plus lots of maniacal screaming and trashing.

Sorry Mabel :D

Blank space

Been looking at Village of Joy lately. Go google it or something.

I have more DVDs than energy to watch it.

- The Big Bang Theory
- Star Trek II, III, IV (remastered duh)
- Charlie Bartlett

And of course, Avatar, which I'm halfway through book three.

Reading Nylon Japan makes me feel... fresh.

These flip flops were made for walking

Visited H&M today. BEL THE SHIRT ONLY COMES ON THE FOURTH OF JUNE I WILL HEAD BACK IF I CAN I SWEAR besides I want that bodysuit even though it's by KPerry.

Bought some shirts from UNIQLO whatever. 'Today the stars, tomorrow the moon'. I don't even want to point out that some stars are further away from the moon, because the shirt is nice.

Hmm what else?

Walked loads. Didn't go to the space museum today - no time, and my mom was separated from us anyway. She visited her friend.

Oh yeah. We took a ferry to Hong Kong island. And a tram in Hong Kong island, which was really crowded and uncomfortable.

Well. That's that, I supposed.

I dreamt of Bones going around telling everyone 'I'm a doctor, not a -blank-'. We were in a mall, and the last scene I remember before waking up was watching him ride the escalator. Weird.

Tuesday, June 2, 2009

There are ambulance sirens outside my hotel.

Seriously. Second night here, and there's a siren going off.

Visited that Buddha today. Took a long and kind of scary cable car ride (over the river, over some mini mountains, through a drizzle, over a small waterfall). It was quite cooling in the car - we went into a fog/mist/cloud-like thing and the wind just rushed into the vents in the car. Mmm. Frosty.

Had diet coke in a glass bottle! Took some polaroids at that Buddha place. I did the Vulcan salute in the polaroid with the Buddha in the background. Yes.

It was only 25-26 degrees Celsius at the top. According to the thermometer that I took a picture of, it was also around 78 degrees Fahrenheit. I'm too lazy to convert the temperature to Kelvin. Anyway, I had a sour popsicle and went back down.

blah blah train ride DISNEYLAND

Hong Kong's Space Mountain is wayyyy better than Japan's. Seriously, the HK one had me laughing as each twist and turn showered me with visuals of space systems and millions of stars. The first part was as if we were taking off from spacedock, and when we were done, we entered this tunnel thing with whirling lights that looked fab. I also took this other ride, Buzz Lightyear's Star Command thingy, in which you had to use a laser thing to shoot the 'Z's to get points. It was very fun.

Pluto made me take a picture with him ;_; I was so embarrassed. I ALSO TOOK A PICTURE WITH MULAN HAHAHAH

I ate a lot of roasted squid. Yummy and chewy. Just now I flossed my teeth and took out a piece of stuck squid, and my gum started bleeding. What a fab end to a fab day!

I'M VISITING THE SPACE MUSEUM TOMORROW. I'M SOOOO EXCITED oh and I get to go shopping and all but SPACE MUSEUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Monday, June 1, 2009

Hello from Hong Kong!

And so begins my 30 minutes of Internet access at the Metropark Hotel in Mongkok. I didn't do much today, except waste time at the so-called laser show at Avenue of the Stars. It was just some flashing of lights of the buildings located across the bay, that's all.

I bought Books Two and Three of Avatar!! And TBBT!!! AND REMASTERED EDITIONS OF STAR TREK MOVIES II, III AND IV \o/ Except that Avatar and Star Trek are code 1 DVDs, so that might be a problem when I get back :B

I hope you guys are doing fine!

Zanne out.

Free internet access at Changi!!

Short update before the flight at 1010 hours. I will be able to use the computer at night in Hong Kong, so expect pictures/updates/Tweets (if you're on Twitter as well).

Should have taken my preventive shots, but at least I'm not going to Tarsus IV :P I think the war there has blown over, anyway.

I wish someone would wish me 'godspeed' but you guys aren't that type. Sorry.

BYE.

The day before the day before I leave for Hong Kong

We're pretty much set. I just have to pack my clothes, but I'm known to pack light and quick. Mom says I just have to pack maybe three shirts and a pair of shorts (and underwear, but you don't need to know that) and I can buy clothes there and wear them. Yup. This will prepare me for my future travels, where I'll probably fall asleep in London and wake up in Tokyo.

If you know what I mean.

Well, I hope I don't die in Hong Kong. Or fall sick and be diagnosed with H1N1. I still want you guys to visit me, okay? And give me homework, chocolates, and maybe Star Trek DVDs.

Yes.

:)

D:

CBS DOESN'T STREAM IN MY 'GEOGRAPHIC REGION' that is quite unfair :( :( :( :(

But no fear, because I WILL NEVER GIVE UP.

Oh yeah, I was watching an interview with the cast of Star Trek TOS and it was from 1982, when Americans still called Beijing 'Peking'. And the bro hug that Shatner and Nimoy shared was really cute. I don't know how to describe it, but it made my inner fangirl (or outer one, hehe) do cartwheels of squee.

Eye candy for today:

I just don't know.

Final post before I sleep.

oh u James

What I'm buying from Hong Kong!

Mmmyeah

  • Avatar Books Two and Three (THUS COMPLETING MY COLLECTION)
  • Season One of The Big Bang Theory (THUS FUELLING MY GEEKINESS)
  • A 35mm backing for my Diana+ (THUS INDUCING ENVY FROM OTHERS WHO DON'T HAVE IT)

And that's about it. I would have around HK$300 left.

ARGH I NEED THINKGEEK

Wednesday, May 27, 2009

I went bookstore hopping today / book post

Yes, I skipped school. But instead of lazing the day away at home, I went out with my dad and Zachary (he had a parent-teacher conference later, and he had the day off too).

Firstly, we went to the Borders store at Parkway Parade (I love it there), and I took a gander at their science fiction racks. Not enough Trek, but plenty of Star Wars to remind me that I haven't finished Episode VII (in book form) yet. Alas, other books came my way! Also, I'd like to take some time to rant that almost every Star Trek book is about Jean-Luc Picard and others but not the original TOS crew. Not that I have anything against Picard and Riker and the rest, I'd just like to see more of Kirk and the gang. I've read a non-TOS novel, and it's quite nice, but jeez.

After Zachary's PTC (which I did not attend because I was engrossed in my nice-smelling Trek novel), we went to Wheelock Place, where I popped in to Borders to find a book, which they did not have. Again, I checked out the sci fi shelves. Same results - not enough Trek.

Then we went to Page One. ***THEY SHIFTED THE COMIC BOOKS ARGH I COULDN'T FIND THE COMIC BOOKS*** I found the book I was looking for, and after promising to pay him back, my dad paid for it. But a trip to any good bookstore isn't complete with the obligatory checking out of the science fiction books! And since I was happy with the book I bought, I decided not to rue the fact that there wasn't enough Trek.

This is the book I bought:

Photobucket

Behold!!!!

It's a cute book, really. I just bought it for fun, and because it was on Thinkgeek :)

And to end this post on a slightly irrelevant note:

Photobucket

Chewie just wanted to give Leia a present.

Dear you.

I thought that you were mature enough not to believe those rumors, but the universe likes to pit itself against me. In simple English, since you probably failed the subject, that means that you are shockingly dense.

Perhaps you weren't talking about me. That's fine. But you were talking about an acquaintance of mine, and no one talks about my friends. You can laugh all you want in that unfitting manner of yours, with your eyes squinting behind glasses and your mouth open in an unsightly fashion.

I hope you have a nice holiday.

And you, dear friend, have some explaining to do. Who told you? Who else knows? Why is this happening? Did you tell anyone else, maybe a best friend? You know who you are.

I shall not say anything. It is up to you to break the silence.

I'M IN A DILEMMA

Okay.

Star Trek : The Original Series - REMASTERED ON DVD, I FORGOT HOW MUCH but it's SGD$154 for Season One in the Heeren's HMV

vs.

Avatar Books Two and Three - BOTH FOR THE LOW, LOW PRICE OF SGD$199

oh man, I don't know what to buy.

EDIT getting Avatar. Yessss

blah blah blah

I watched Night at the Museum 2. It was okay, but I was most excited about Jay Baruchel starring in a small role. He looked adorable, as always.

There are two books pending on my reading list. I'll give you three guesses as to which franchise the books belong to, and the first two don't count.

I have no money left for this week. The following week, I am flying off to Hong Kong.

white!Aang makes me sad :'(

Library duties

During my shift and the library, three guys took turns to take shots at me. It pains me to type 'flirt'. But that's what they did, sort of. Well, I just gave them my blank/irritated/annoyed look every time they tried. They know my name. I answered them curtly, and they chortled every time.

I was reading a Shatner-penned book at that time. Very nice.

Watching Avatar!!

Going where no finger has gone before

What are you doing, Captain?

Digging for gold, Spock.

It is simply illogical, Captain, for there is no gold whatsoever in your nasal cavity. There are only dried nasal secretions. Captain, for the sake of your crew, please don't let this turn into rhinotillexomania.

James Tea Kirk

Most likely served with ice or chilled :)
  • 1 part Gin

  • 1 part Vodka
  • 1 part Blue Curacao

The previous post is a sob story. Skip it.

  • 1 part Blue Curacao
  • 1 part Vodka
  • Garnish with pineapple

It looks nice served in a martini glass :) Not telling you the name :))

I have no idea

I got 24/30 for my English composition. And I'm the highest scorer for that topic, not in the English total for the standard. Sorry if I told anyone and they believed me. Sorry.

I've been saying that word quite a lot. Morosely, sarcastically... Well, I really am. Also, someone should be sorry when I see him, because TANTAAFL.

I'm watching Rocky IV!

Party? Y/N

And oh God, Apollo Creed just died. Now you know why we hate the Russians so much.

Coincidentally, there is a Cobra Starship song that has 'Apollo Creed' in its title. I get warm fuzzies when I think about how it's all linked - movies, books, music, theater. Four of my favorite things.

Which leads me to that The Sound of Music's song "My Favorite things", which leads to Panic(!) (I will never let their exclamation point die) at the Disco's song "Build God, Then We'll Talk".

I love it.

Oh, and check out this obligatory Trek gag:

"Oops."

For a moment there was silence on the bridge. Then McCoy asked, "You're kidding, right?"
"Vulcans do not 'kid'," Spock said. - fairly fitting excerpt from "Belle Terre"

What an offer! $5 for a relazing massage - a really relaxing one, if you get my drift.
